Two NIHR-GHRC fellows from Sri Ramachandra Institute for Higher Education and Research were recognized for their outstanding presentations at the Young Leaders Conclave 2024 organized by the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Ministry of Home Affairs, Delhi
One of the objectives of the conclave was to discuss research ideas, approaches, methods and case studies on linkages between environment and disasters and disaster risk-resilience and recommend future research areas and management strategies for promoting environment-based disaster risk-resilience.
Our research fellows won the first and second prizes for the best paper presentations under the Environmental, Public Health, and Disaster category.
KG Gayathri won the first prize for her paper on “Heat related eco-anxiety among women”
Sajeeth Kumar won the second prize for his presentation on “Interventions for outdoor workers“.
