The NIHR Global Health Research Centre (GHRC) for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and Environmental Change (EC) is set to host its 2nd Annual Symposium, themed “Innovative Solutions and Strategies for Sustainable Health and Environment“. This much-anticipated event will take place at SRIHER, Chennai, bringing together global experts, policymakers, and researchers to address the critical intersection of health and environmental sustainability.

- Keynote Address on Leading Change in Global Health and Environmental Sustainability : Dr. Anushka Patel, The George Institute for Global Health, will set the tone with reflections on driving impactful change, sharing strategic insights, and lessons from global leadership in health and environmental sustainability.
- Policy Panel Discussion: Moderated by Prof. Christopher Millett (Imperial College London), a distinguished panel comprising Dr. Sujatha Rao, Dr. Marc Suhrcke, Prof. Ali Ghufron Mukti, and Dr. Aliya Naheed will explore the future of health amid environmental threats. Discussions will focus on climate change, emerging health risks, and innovative approaches to healthcare.
- Innovations in NCD Prevention and Management: Speakers, including Prof. Kalpana Balakrishnan (SRIHER), Prof. Digambar Behera, Dr. Cristina Parsons Perez, and Mr. Gangaram Paikra, will present innovative strategies integrating environmental considerations into NCD prevention. The session will be moderated by Dr. Vivekanand Jha (TGI).
